Our Staff
Lauren—Dental Assistant
Lauren grew up in Orangefield and graduated High School in 2017. She joined the team in May of 2021. She enjoys helping and interacting with patients. She says her favorite part of her job is seeing how happy patients are when they see their new smile.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, boyfriend and friends. She also enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and watching various TV series.
Nikki—Dental Assistant
Nikki (Nakevia), is originally from DeQuincy Louisiana, but moved to Texas and graduated high school in 2004. She joined the team in June of 2022. Never meeting a stranger, she enjoys interacting with patients and making sure they have an enjoyable experience in our office.
Her biggest blessings in life are her beautiful children. She loves spending time with them and the rest of her family. Being a good ole’ country girl, she enjoys being outdoors, spending weekends at the lake, and cooking southern meals.
Heather—Dental Assistant
Heather grew up in Bridge City, TX and graduated high school in 2010. She then attended LSC-O where she earned her Certificate in Dental Assisting in the fall of 2012. Heather joined our team in February 2017. She enjoys helping and interacting with patients. Heather said her favorite part of her job is seeing patients reactions when we deliver their new smile, and that it is such a great feeling seeing them so happy!
Outside of work, Heather enjoys being out in the sun on the water with friends and family. She also enjoys being cuddled up on the couch with her fur baby Maverick watching Netflix.
Kay Lynn—Insurance/Financial Coordinator and Scheduling
Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Kay Lynn has been a resident of the Golden Triangle for 30+ years with a brief residence in Gonzales, Louisiana. She has been married to her best friend and soulmate, Randy, for 35 years. They have 5 children, 2 daughters in law, 2 sons in law and 8 grandchildren. Her family is her greatest accomplishment- spending quality time with her husband, their children and their grandchildren tops the list of her favorite things to do.
Kay Lynn also enjoys anything that involves her family and friends, especially the beach, camping, dinners, and concerts or live music. She is also an avid Texas Longhorns Sports fan. She has been employed with Dr. Fukuda for 20 years now and will probably retire when he does. She loves to visit with patients on a daily basis and can truly say that she loves her job and what she does.
Sandy—Office Manager
Sandy has been married to John for over 33 years., they have two kids, Aharon and Samantha. Sandy was with John when he started dental school and has worked in John’s office since he started practicing dentistry.
When the Fukuda’s are not working on one of John’s ideas or in the office, Sandy likes to spend time at the beach with family and friends.
